The position

By joining our team in Exploration & Production Norway you will have the opportunity to:

  • Uphold the Technical Authority role for the Static Mechanical discipline.

  • Responsible for assessing the functions and condition of the Performance Standards (PS) SECEs relating to the Static Mech discipline.

  • Develop and own Safety Environmental Critical Element Performance Standards o UKCS regulatory requirement

  • Follow up and assurance of technical requirements, legislation, functionality, and PS impairments within the assigned area of responsibility for Equinor UKI operations.

  • Provide competent technical advice and guidance to offshore and onshore personnel with respect to the performance of SECEs and/or assurance activities related to the Static Mechanical discipline, e.g. through Operational Risk Assessments (ORAs).Travel offshore for ad-hoc trips to support efficient operations and integrity assurance/audit functions.

  • Provide competent technical advice and support for continued operation of business-critical equipment and/or assurance activities related to the Static Mechanical discipline.

  • Represent Equinor as required, in all external stakeholder engagements relating to Static Mechanical discipline matters including interface towards HSE (Health and Safety Executive) and OEUK etc.

  • Provide discipline input to Management of Change process, in coordination with other technical system authorities. Preparation and participation in relevant verifications (e.g. safety case, verification scheme).

  • Candidates with Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant subject. Chartered Engineer preferred. Experience may compensate for lack of education.

  • Extensive experience in Offshore Operation & Maintenance required, with previous experience as a Technical Authority preferred.

  • Possess a high level of understanding of how to interact with business-critical technical systems in a safe manner based on risk and consequence analysis.

  • Have the ability to communicate issue to all levels of the organisation and positively influence stakeholders.

  • Possess the ability to handle responsibility and occasional high workloads.
