Manufacturing Supervisor - 2nd shift

Position Overview

Shaw Industries is looking for a 2nd shift Manufacturing Supervisor to strive to service Plant T1 and The Commercial Division in an accident-free environment. This will be accomplished through a strong emphasis on safety, team development, and facilitating change. Partnership with plant resources and the shift’s team members is vital in achieving this. The Team Manager will develop individual and team behaviors that drive the shift towards departmental improvements. This Team Manager will also be expected to identify and groom associate talent for future leadership roles.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all safety requirements are met

• Drive team participation in safety initiatives

• Lead team performance discussions and necessary team improvements

• Engage and communicate with individual associates

• Lead and facilitate team development and training

• Facilitate process changes and suggestions made by associates

• Ensure completion of all paperwork and performance tracking documentation

• Monitor teams performance and make adjustments throughout shift

• Improve shift ATD through team coaching and engagement

• Manage associate hours, progression, and corrective discipline through Workforce and Workday

• Develop an understanding of process flow in and out of the department

• Able to attend required off hour’s meetings monthly

• Coordinate any other applicable duty or responsibility as needed

Required:

• 1+ years of manufacturing experience

• High School Diploma/GED and 1+ years as a Lead or Supervisor/Manager

Preferred:

• Backing/Cutting manufacturing experience
