Wells Fargo Senior Software Engineer in ADDISON, Texas

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Personal Lending and Retail Services Group in Consumer Lending Technology

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments

  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments

  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures

  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals

  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

  • Work with Product Owners, Scrum Master, and delivery teams to build new or enhanced product features

  • Design, code, test, debug, and deploy high-quality Java software

  • Become a technical application subject matter expert

  • Participate in team application and solutions architecture discussions

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience in developing integrated and secure enterprise or web-based applications using Java/J2EE

  • 1+ years of developing microservices

Desired Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience working with Java frameworks including Spring, Hibernate, etc.

  • 1+ years of Mongo DB

  • 3+ years of web service or API experience (REST, SOAP)

  • 3+ years of Agile experience

  • 1+ year experience with Kafka

  • Experience with cloud technologies such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud

  • Experience with automated deployment CI/CD tools like (Jenkins, Maven, UDeploy)

  • Rich experience working in a scaled agile environment

  • Skilled with performance and testing automation tools including Junit, Jmeter, Selenium, and/or Cucumber

  • Experience with "test" centric development methodologies including Test Driven Development (TDD) & Behavior Driven Development (BDD)

  • Familiarity with financial services technologies and banking processes (originations, application, approval, fulfillment and closing)
