Full job description Sienna Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for a part-time activities assistant. The successful person will be a compassionate individual who enjoys working with older adults and has a genuine interest in improving their quality of life. This position is 3 days per week. Responsibilities: - Implementing activities for residents in a nursing home. - Providing support and assistance to residents during activity sessions. - Engaging residents in social and recreational activities to promote mental and physical well-being. - Assisting with the coordination of special events and outings for residents. - Maintaining documentation and records related to resident participation in activities. - Collaborating with other staff members to ensure a positive and engaging environment for residents. Experience: - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members. - Knowledge of aging issues and recreational therapy is beneficial. - Previous experience in senior care or a related field is preferred but not required.
