GPD is currently seeking a Project Administrator in our Akron OH, Cleveland OH, or Columbus OH office locations to provide administration and coordination of a multi-site national program in our Federal Practice.

The ideal candidates should possess:

  • An associate's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction or Engineering preferred.   
  • 5+ years of experience in a professional office setting.
  • Familiarity with construction and architectural/engineering terms and processes, required.  Ideal candidate would have experience working for a General Contractor or Architectural/Engineering firm in a finance, scheduling, or administration role.
  • Experience with multi-site programs for repetitive clients.
  • Ability to work within a team environment working with individuals from various offices.
  • Candidate MUST be proficient with Microsoft Office, especially proficient in using Excel and Word. Should be able to create spreadsheets and develop/maintain Pivot Tables in Excel.
  • Ability to work on various projects in different stages simultaneously. 
  • Experience with various programs for management such as Smartsheets, Procore, Plangrid or similar required.
  • Candidate MUST possess strong communication abilities, organization skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible and willing to learn.
  • Willingness to make improvements, develop best-practices and suggest ways to improve efficiencies.
  • Travel is expected to be limited however, some travel may be required for client meetings, site assessments and construction phase visits. 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Support the construction process by receiving and logging shop drawings and requests for information and follow up on timely completion and responses from our internal team of project managers, engineers, architects.
  • Work with client to develop SOV's for awarded contractors.
  • Review pay requests against SOV and verify completion percentage prior to approving pay requests.
  • Data organization and entry for internal and external processes.  Includes weekly program summaries, tracking of construction status and punch walks and reporting of all to the client.
  • Work directly with client accounting and construction teams to accomplish goals.
