The Opportunity

This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we are focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

As the Social Media Marketing Specialist you will focus on supporting Abbott owned social media platforms, gathering insights on how customers want to engage, and driving conversation that leads to overall positive brand sentiment.

What You’ll Work On

  • Lead daily monitoring of all content for all contracted US influencers and celebrities; consult on influencer paid content and calendar.

  • Manage analysis and reporting of influencer and paid social KPIs via dashboards, reports, and presentations.

  • Support development and Medical/Legal/Regulatory (MLR) submission of paid social media content.

  • In close partnership with Ad Promo and MLR reviewer stakeholders, manage team escalation list for timely content approval.

  • Ensure social team working documents and records are accessible and organized.

  • Lead moderation of all US social channels following ADC guidelines and each platform policy, ensuring alignment with agency and commitment from team members for monitoring coverage

  • Continuously capture insights through consumer conversation and by analyzing moderation data/metrics; report back to broader business to drive optimizations and suggestions for additional FAQs.

  • Identify and socialize creative social media channel insights and trends from ongoing workstreams.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree required

  • Two years previous marketing experience

  • Strong interest and enthusiasm for marketing and social media

  • Communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to track and manage multiple projects and deadlines

  • A customer-centric mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Experience with monitoring, moderating, and analyzing content on social media

  • A strong point of view on current social media landscape and trends

  • Comfort with Excel/PowerPoint to analyze and share social media metrics and insights

  • Ability to learn a new subject quickly

  • Sound time management skills, highly organized, and committed to achieving goals.

  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines

  • Creativity, copy writing skills

  • Proficiency in English, Spanish is a plus.

The base pay for this position is $65,900.00 – $131,900.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
