Description To be successful at this Accountant position, you should be someone who creates spreadsheets in your sleep, be looking to find your place in the accounting field. Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for an entry-level Accountant with a highly successful organization. This role is responsible for reviewing financial statements with a heavy data entry component. An Excel enthusiast interested in spreadsheet creation and manipulation will thrive in this entry-level position. Based in Albany, New York, this entry-level Accountant job is a long-term contract / temporary opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts

• Facilitating full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes

• Data entry

• Assisting with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audit

• Executing alternate duties and partaking in special projects as assigned

• Investigating and fixing account discrepancies

• Put together monthly journal entries Requirements - navigating basic office equipment and protocols experience desired

• Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills

• Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects

• 1 year of accounting experience

• Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• High-level understanding of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred

• AA degree or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred

• Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
