The Administrative Manager for Nursing Programs, reporting to the Director of Nursing Programs, is responsible for the administrative support and services of the nursing degree programs at the University at Albany School of Public Health. The School launched two new degree programs: a Bachelor of Science in Nursing completion program and a Master of Science in Population Health Nursing to help meet the significant demand for qualified healthcare providers. The Administrative Manager works closely with students, faculty, and staff to support the growth and maintenance of the nursing programs. He/She/They conduct administrative activities and processes necessary for the delivery of high-quality programming.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Fiscal, personnel, and facilities management.

  • Related academic affairs support for the program.

  • Serve as a liaison between the Nursing Program and the Dean's Office, other Public Health units, and campus administrative offices.

    Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization.

  • Minimum two years of professional experience in an office setting.

  • Evidence of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Evidence of strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize, and complete assignments accurately and in a timely fashion.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and proven ability to learn and use new technology, including university systems, such as Slate, EAB, PeopleSoft, and Business Intelligence.

  • Applicants must demonstrate an ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within our diverse campus community.

  • Applicants must demonstrate an ability to support diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and belonging relative to their role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students and faculty in a higher education setting.

  • Experience with budgeting, accounting, purchasing, and HR policies and guidelines.

  • Familiarity with University systems, such as Slate, EAB, PeopleSoft, and Business Intelligence.

Professional Rank and Salary Grade: Senior Staff Assistant, SL3; $55,000-58,000.
