Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in data or computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, and either: satisfactory completion of a two-year traineeship or two years of experience* in data visualization, and statistical models and data mining tools.*A master’s degree in the above fields may substitute for one year of the specialized experience. A Ph.D. in the above fields may substitute for two years of the specialized experience. *Preferred Qualifications: Ability to initiate and maintain relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders
Duties Description Standard Duties:Under the direction of the Data Analyst 2, the duties of the Data Analyst 1 include but are not limited to the following:•Work with business units to develop and build models in support of analytic use cases •Development, maintenance and support of reports and dashboards based on user stories or program requests, querying data repositories for ad hoc requests or the creation of reports•Draft technical requirements: ensure standards are adhered to for consistent data collection, storage, and access.•Coordinate with program staff in identifying data definitions, along with the cleansing and maintenance of data•Provide input on current approaches and recommends improvements to best achieve goals, reviews and suggests improvements to current or planned systems and processes•Perform data extraction, aggregation, and quality checks from multiple sources and tables in support of trend identification and root cause analysis, summarizes results, creates written reports and collaborates with staff to develop business intelligence solutions
