Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico

Description Are you looking for an excellent opportunity? Robert Half is looking for a Full Charge Bookkeeper. Are you proficient at multitasking, communicating, organizing, and managing your time? Do you want an opportunity to grow? Then this role could be the right fit for you! Your responsibilities will include the preparation of financial statements; the establishment and preservation of the accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives of the business; and all other general accounting and bookkeeping tasks. The Full Charge Bookkeeper position is a long-term contract / contract / temporary to permanent opportunity in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

What you get to do every day

  • Preparing depreciation schedules by tracking fixed assets

  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable; handling collections as needed

  • Studying and adhering to federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and detailing needed actions to management

  • Carefully filing documents to preserve historical records

  • Overseeing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers

  • Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll

  • Putting together the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement

  • Ensuring correct and punctual monthly, quarterly and year end close Requirements - Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures

  • Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner

  • Background in payroll preferred

    • Excel and Peachtree experience a plus
  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience

  • Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills

  • Accruals experience highly preferred

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Annual Financial Reporting

  • Journal entries experience highly desired

  • Foundational knowledge in general ledger

  • General familiarity with financial reporting

  • Account reconciliation experience

  • Adeptness in depreciation

  • QuickBooks experience required

  • Practical knowledge of Balance Sheets

  • Quickbooks Online experience desired

  • Knowledgeable of accrual and cash basis of accounting

  • High school diploma or comparable diploma with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred

  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

  • Capable of working independently with minimal oversight
