The Technical Director coordinates the efforts of all technical operations during newscasts and other live and recorded productions. The ideal candidate will have a high degree of professionalism, effective interpersonal relation skills, ability to organize and prioritize workload and function well in pressure situations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Direct newscasts, breaking news and other programs using Grass Valley Ignite system. Other programs could include live audiences.

• Observes pictures through monitors and directs camera/video staff concerning composition

• Works with news producers to deliver a clean and high energy newscasts

• Switches video sources and given direction at the same time during live broadcasts

• Create commands and effects for newscast and other programs

• Performs other duties as assigned

  Requirements & Skills:

• High school diploma

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

• Minimum two years’ experience in news operation and production preferred

• Proficiency with broadcast control equipment

• Operational knowledge of Ross CamBot Robotic Camera Systems is a plus

• ENPS newsroom system preferred

• Must be willing and flexible to work any shift

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time
