What You’ll Get to Do

  • Night Security Guard for a Government facility that is staffed with security personnel 24/7

  • Guards company premises and property.

  • Provide physical security functions to include: perimeter patrols, facility security, monitoring of alarm system, access control, response to activated alarm, and security inspections.

  • Control and monitor access to assigned building(s).

  • Prepare facility security alarm system for activation and deactivation.

  • Provide access control and visitor escort within the facility and other locations as required.

  • Maintains daily security logs and records pertinent incidents on events, in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Provide other support and security services as required.

  • Use electronic surveillance equipment.

  • Calls police, fire, or EMS personnel when needed.

  • Work under general supervision

  • Reception duties, such as answering phones, directing calls, taking messages, screening employees and visitors

  • Unarmed security position

  • No uniform required. Professional business casual attire

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance

  • Prior military, police, or guard experience is preferred.

  • One year of training / experience

  • Must be able to work shift work such a swing and night shifts if requested with advance notice.

  • Basic typing and outlook e-mail.

  • Ability to interface with management levels and technical staff.

  • Must be able to perform perimeter patrols.

  • Must be able to patrol on foot in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat.

  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.

  • Must be able to climb stairs or ladders occasionally during shift.

  • Must be able to interact well with others.

  • Professional and courteous service with customers and visitors and maintain a professional appearance.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • An Active Secret Clearance

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong organizational/administrative skills.

  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner.
