Summary

As a Webcast Lead, you will lead the dynamic task of managing and producing engaging webcasts for SHRM. With your expertise, you will enhance our brand's reach and maintain our commitment to providing exceptional resources to our members.

  • Team Leadership: You'll guide and mentor a dedicated team of professionals, fostering an environment of creativity, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Your role will be crucial in managing workflows, setting project timelines, and ensuring that all team members have the support and resources they need to excel in their roles.

  • Content Production: Your expertise will be pivotal in overseeing the entire production process of our webcasts. This includes conceptualizing topics that resonate with our audience, ensuring the technical quality of live broadcasts, and managing the post-production of pre-recorded sessions. You will work closely with content creators, technical staff, and marketing teams to produce webcasts that are informative, engaging, and reflective of SHRM's high standards.

  • Editorial Oversight: Maintaining the integrity and relevance of our webcast content will be one of your key responsibilities. This entails reviewing and approving scripts, overseeing the selection of speakers and panelists, and ensuring that all content aligns with SHRM's editorial guidelines and mission. Your keen eye for detail and editorial judgment will ensure that our webcasts are not only engaging but also serve as valuable educational tools for our members.

  • Quality Assurance: Upholding the quality and effectiveness of our webcasts is paramount. You will implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure that all webcasts meet our technical and content standards. This includes regular reviews of webcast performance, gathering feedback from participants, and making data-driven decisions to continuously improve our offerings.

  • Member Engagement: At the heart of your role is a commitment to providing exceptional resources to SHRM members. By understanding the needs and challenges of HR professionals, you will tailor webcast topics and formats to maximize engagement and provide tangible value to our community.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage staff to ensure high-quality webcast production.

  • Produce 15-25 live webcasts per month, overseeing the entire process from planning to execution.

  • Provide editorial oversight for registration pages, including crafting compelling program descriptions and meticulous editing.

  • Edit video and audio for pre-recorded webcasts, ensuring content quality and coherence.

  • Secure SHRM Certification credit numbers for applicable programs.

  • Write and produce a content-rich monthly newsletter to engage and inform our audience.

  • Conduct a competitive analysis of other webcast providers in the HR space to benchmark and innovate our offerings.

  • Research and recruit speakers, establishing a network of professionals who add value to our webcasts.

  • Manage and update spreadsheets for Member Care report addresses and closed caption implementation.

  • Respond promptly and efficiently to member inquiries, particularly regarding certificate downloads.

  • Act as a liaison with other SHRM stakeholders, coordinating across departments to align webcast content with organizational goals.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience in webcast production or a similar field.

  • Experienced with audio editing tools such as Audition or Audacity.

  • Experience with captioning systems like Rev.com for accessibility compliance.

  • Familiarity with SHRM Certification and the HR field is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong leadership skills and experience in supervising a creative team.

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with attention to detail.

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient with webcast systems such as On24.

  • Skilled in video editing software like Premiere or Descript.

  • Familiar with marketing automation platforms like Marketo for email campaigns.

  • Adept in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodation.

  • Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Work environment

  • Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and conference settings and routinely uses standard office equipment.

  • Expected travel is 0-10% of the time.

#LI-Hybrid

The hiring range for this position is $92,000 to $119,000 per year. This range is an estimate and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. SHRM offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
