Global Engineering are at the centre of this ambition, and we will need to lead the way for asset master planning and brilliantly execute bigger and more complex projects.

About the Role:

The role is positioned in the Spirit and Beer Packaging team within Global Engineering. The overall purpose of this team is to deliver against a 5 year Capex plan. This includes the annual operations Capex investment against Brand Change and Strategic CapEx.

Some of the Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver annual Capex plans ensuring projects are delivered safely on time, within budget, and to the expectations of the business. Responsibility for delivering Capex spend relating to own projects some of which could be in excess of £1M.

  • Use specialist and engineering knowledge to provide technical specifications and costs for Capex projects.

  • Liaise with external resources/contractors and deploy appropriate resources to ensure project delivery.

  • Ensure compliance with appropriate Health & Safety, Engineering Safety Compliance and Environmental standards.

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • A professional engineer qualified to Higher National or Degree level, who can demonstrate competence for the role based on previous or current experience. Considerable experience and professional development in areas such as project management are needed and critical for the role.

  • Strong health and safety experience and relevant qualification i.e. NEBOSH.

  • Experience in lean manufacturing techniques would be advantageous.

  • Good at networking to establish excellent relationships, effective influencer, with excellent communication skills.

  • A full clean Driving License.

Depending on the project requirements, the role will also require some travel to other sites.
