The role.

This role will be responsible to develop assigned Key Industrial markets and channels to support the growth and meet/exceed the revenue and profit targets for the MV/HV Motor and Drives Business. You'll help to create and implement a comprehensive growth plan to use existing business relationships and new partnerships. This position is working with various sales and product development teams to define requirements for product development. This is a national role that covers the whole of the US territory. It reports to the Head of Business Development for MV Drives & Motors USA.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing, planning and leading all aspects of growth initiatives, to achieve market share growth and market diversification in all product lines including Medium Motors, Drives and Systems business.

  • Perform market research and industry trends to identify new business fields/opportunities and customer’s needs and establish strategies and growth programs.

  • Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry, will analyze changing markets and competitive landscape, collaborate with portfolio management teams to plan and implement strategies to meet future market needs.

  • Supporting new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations.

  • Building trust and long-term relationships with clients/customers

  • Encouraging positive interactions and relationships with sales representatives, team leaders and managers, and executives to evaluate sales strategy and results.

  • Provide technical and Sales training to the internal sales team, external sales channels and customers.

  • Developing ways to improve the customer experience and build brand loyalty.

  • Attending and speaking publicly at conferences, meetings, and industry events.

Your profile.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

  • 10-15+ years of previous experience in business development, sales, or related field

  • Goal-oriented, organized team player

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking, presentation, and writing

  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time optimally

  • Self-motivated and self-directed, ability to thrive with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty

  • Experienced at preparing and presenting quarterly goals and forecasts for future projects

  • Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge

  • Familiarity how to interpret P&L and creating budgets for assigned markets

  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) & CRM tools

  • Ability to travel to see clients, explore new markets and attend conventions.

  • Abide by all non-compete/solicit agreements.

The pay range for this position is $104,400 - $179,000. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
