    Purpose:

    Maintain documentation and complete necessary forms reflecting residents’ conditions and treatments. Observe and report symptoms and condition changes of residents to physicians, director of nursing, and/or designee, resident’s representative, or other 3rd party providers, as necessary. And above all, provide excellent patient care.

    Essential Duties:

  • Assume responsibilities as Community Nurse, when applicable, and respond to emergency calls of residents within the Independent Community. Understand and properly use the facility communication system, including the emergency call system.

  • Follow physicians’ orders and perform accurate and timely administration of medications; complete appropriate paperwork, and maintain documentation in residents’ charts.. Provide care utilizing infection control measures.

  • Give report to on-coming shift using 24-hour report and communication book to convey important information.

  • Secure and store properly all toxic/hazardous substances utilized in the work area.

    Required Qualification:

  • Current license as a licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Florida and IV certification. CPR certified

  • For purposes of effective communication with residents, families and staff must be able to see, hear, speak, read and write English.

  • Maintain ability to stretch, push, pull, kneel, reach, twist, lift unassisted at least 50 lbs and walk or stand up to eight hours.

    Hourly Rate:

    $20.50 - $33.70

    Background Checks:

    A criminal history background check and sex offender registry check will be required for the finalist under consideration for this position. We are a drug free workplace.
