JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Medical Billing Assistant/Health Services assistant assists with insurance, patient billing, and payments for the clinic/office. This opening ensures services are billed correctly, corrects billing errors, fulfills billing compliance requirements, generates and reconciles financial reports, and processes and reports on payments. The Assistant also provides support and administrative services in a health care setting/environment.
This role interacts with customers, patients, medical staff, and external vendors such as insurance companies to ensure efficient operations of the office/clinic/assigned area. The health care assistant is responsible for various administrative tasks such as maintaining records and data, answering and screening calls, greeting visitors, and filing, typing, and maintaining various office equipment. Requirements and Qualifications Medical Billing Experience required.
Employment with the University for this job will require successful completion of the Pennsylvania (PA) Publicly Available Clearances:PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and the FBI Criminal History Background Check.
This is for a 24-hour-per-week opening, with the possibility of some evenings hours.
