AIG Payroll Processing Specialist in Amarillo, Texas

AIG is currently hiring and has the ability to complete virtual interviews, onboarding, and training. This position is remote work from home until it is safe to return to the office. Therefore, the position does require having the ability to commute to and from our Amarillo, TX or Houston, TX office.

As a Payroll Processing Specialist, you will be providing an exceptional customer service experience for our group clients and financial advisors. Your responsibility is to review/process electronic payroll remittance files. Along with pulling daily wires and checks for deposit set up and completing the contributions processing. Learning agility is required in order to understand the various bill generation times and various file layouts.

  • Play nice in the sandbox with others. Communicating with different AIG departments to ensure information is being processed accurately is essential for success.

  • Set up your own home office and work remotely with minimal frustration and supervision. Tools and equipment are provided.

What we are looking for

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution required.

  • 3 + years’ experience in payroll processing preferred

  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal

  • A high-quality/high-speed internet connection is required for this role.

  • Strong computer skills and using multiple programs simultaneously. Excel including but not limited to: Data Sorting, Data Filters, Data / Cell Formatting, Data Validation & Analysis and Conditional Formatting.

  • Availability to work overtime as needed

  • Ability to make sound judgement calls on unique situations

  • A demonstrated background of loyalty to your past employers
