$1500 hiring bonus!

In the role of Lead Teacher you will plan an environment and activities designed to promote safety, nurturing support, and appropriate development for children between the ages of six weeks and six years in our childcare center. You will also provide leadership and guidance for the classroom staff as part of the Childcare Leadership Team. Classroom assignment is determined based on the needs of the center and may change accordingly.

Schedule

7am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday

Benefits and Compensation

This role is full-time and eligible for health benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, generous childcare discounts, and a 403B retirement account.

The starting pay rate for this position between $15-18/hours and increases with years of education and experience.

What You'll Do

  • Build a positive, trust-based relationship with each child and their family by providing positive communication and body language at all times

  • Supervise children indoors and outdoors

  • Ensure classroom ratio is maintained at all times

  • Maintain and support an environment that provides children with consistency as well as the ability to freely explore and engage in constructive, purposeful play

  • Assist with implementation of lesson plans that detail the classroom study and related activities including GOLD objectives being addressed by each activity

  • Contribute to curriculum planning

  • Promote social and emotional competency, self-confidence, and resiliency by using an approved curriculum and effective role modeling

  • Demonstrate effective conflict resolution, team building, and positive communication skills when interacting with others

  • Accurately document all observations, significant events, and services rendered

    What You'll Need

  • Required: Two year degree, will consider applicants with High School Diploma and additional childcare experience.

  • Required: Two years of experience working in childcare.

  • A current certification in CPR, First Aid, Mandatory Reporting, Universal Precautions and Medication Administrator is preferred

  • Ability to pass a ChildServe physical examination at commencement of employment and thereafter as regulations require

  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs, be mobile within the classroom and playground areas, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand

  • Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
