Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for performing physical and administrative tasks in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment at a main operating base and deployed locations.

  • This is a Senior provisioning position with strong knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management. Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight. Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures. Makes moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes.

  • May be responsible for Developing Logistics Support Plans (LSPs) and System Deactivation Plan.

  • Responsible entire projects or processes within job area. Typically, responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees. Typically, responsible for managing complex projects at this level, involving delegation of work and review of work products .

  • Manage projects or processes with general supervision. Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. Enter and manipulate data in a logistics management system.

  • Create and use reports and queries to analyze demand patterns to support inventory improvement rates.

  • Work consists of making moderate to substantial improvement or enhancements to systems and processes to improve performance of job area. Opportunities for problem solving and innovation are complex and may require comprehensive information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem. Problems typically involve consideration of multiple issues, job areas or specialties. Problems are generally solved through creative solutions, drawing from prior experience and in-depth analysis of issues.

  • Communicates with contacts within and outside of own department and may occasionally have responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.) Asset management of deployed inventory.

  • Responsible for collaborating with Engineering, identify spare parts in accordance with customer requirements.

  • Responsible contribute to and support SSP Advanced Inventory and Logistics (SAIL) working group meetings and Provisioning requirements development for software upgrades.

  • May be required to Prepare, chair, and coordinate Provisioning Conferences for new system provisioning and SPALTs/PADs

  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat or similar, PowerPoint, and Outlook

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

  • Able to Travel up to 10% of the time.

  • Able to lift to 50 lbs. up to 5% of the time utilizing proper lifting techniques and climb ladders daily.

  • Able to use material handling aids such as pallet jacks, height adjustable carts or forklift (able to obtain a forklift license within the first year).

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Costpoint

  • SAIL

  • FEDLOG/PUBLOG and NATO Codification

  • International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) experience

  • Material planning and management, inventory control.

  • Possess excellent communication skills, quality commitment, customer focus, strong interpersonal skills and be adaptable.

  • Be a self-starter and team player willingness to assist team as workloads or priorities shift.

  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR/ITAR laws, rules, and regulations

  • Property Management / Inventory

  • Active Secret Security Clearance preferred, but not required

  • Industrial Packaging / Military Packaging experience
