Credit Union 1 Enterprise Systems Manager in Anchorage, Alaska

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and execute the overall information systems strategy in alignment with the companys strategic objectives and drive innovation and efficiency across all aspects of our information systems.
  • Lead a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management to ensure the departments success. Establish and track team KPIs and develop a team culture of continual growth and maturity.
  • Oversee the operations of the help desk system. This includes ensuring that the incidents, tasks, requests, and changes that come into the help desk system are completed in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Ensure that the credit unions enterprise IT architecture (servers, server operating systems and applications) is installed, configured and maintained in accordance with credit union policies and industry best practices.
  • Acts as primary coordinator and liaison between the credit union and its vendors during the installation and implementation phases of new technology products or services relating to the infrastructure. Specific responsibilities for a given project will depend, in part, on whether the Enterprise System Manager is the project leader or a team member and whether the credit unions Projects Manager is assigned to facilitate the project.
  • Coordinate between credit union staff, the Information Technology Department and vendors for the resolution of issues that arise following installation of a new technology product or service.
  • Provide second tier support to the IT Daily Operations department, credit union employees and members.
  • Ensures that IT Help Desk cases assigned to members of the Enterprise Systems department are consistently acted on and updated in a timely manner.
  • Ensures that Change Requests are consistently entered, updated and monitored.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Community service is required of all management staff. While some may occur during work hours with the permission of the President, some must also occur outside of normal working hours, at a minimum of twice per year. Community service is defined as serving on a non-profit board of directors, volunteer participation in fundraisers for social services (other than occupying a seat at a Credit Union 1 paid for table), and participation in other social services events. In addition, attendance at management mandated events will be required.
  • Project a positive attitude during all contacts members and team members that is consistent with Credit Union 1s mission statement and core values.
  • Meets the current standards as established for the department in the completion of all assigned duties.
  • Responsible for departments participation in every aspect of the Record Retention program. This includes the creation, identification, use, storage, and destruction in accordance with the policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QULIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, IT, or Business Administration required; equivalent technical leadership experience in the industry will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 4+ years of IT leadership experience, preferably in the financial industry.
  • Certificate in one of the following is highly preferred: ITIL Foundation, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • Must be skilled at understanding your audience and effectively transitioning between technical and non-technical communications, both verbally and in writing.
  • In-depth knowledge of network routing and switching technologies, next-gen firewalls, load balancers, SD-WAN, DMZ, and VPNs.
  • In-depth knowledge of securely administering a Microsoft Windows server infrastructure, server and desktop virtualization, storage area networks, backups, and replication.
  • In-dep h knowledge, including O365, Mail, and cloud computing (Azure, AWS, private, etc.).
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and projects of diverse sizes and complexities.
  • Experience with vendor evaluation, selection, and management
  • Passion for driving efficiency and utilizing technology to enable the organization to be successful.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with credit union personnel at all levels as well as outside vendors.
