Clarivate Analytics US LLC Product Owner IP in Ann Arbor, Michigan

As the Product Owner on the IP Cloud Services team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering a world-class experience to Clarivate's customers. You will be developing tools that automate common tasks, provide decision support, and facilitate the exchange of information between IP professionals, attorneys, and patent offices. Using the agile scrum methodology, you will develop user stories and acceptance criteria, refine product backlog, and advocate for end-user and business needs. As you work with a distributed team of technical and non-technical specialists, you will drive the product roadmap and empower the multi-functional teams to deliver products with high quality. When challenges arise, you thrive in identifying creative and unique solutions and seek customer feedback.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

Bachelors or Master'sdegree in a Computer Science discipline or related field

5+ years of experience in product management, product owner,technical leadership, or related field

2+ years of experience working in a customer-facing, cloud based,SaaS environment

It would be great if you also have...

Additional degree in business, analytics, or law

Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMI Agile Certified (PMI-ACP), Pragmatic Marketing Certificates, or related certificate.

Experience in Intellectual Property, patents and trademarks

Experiencing developing or supporting software for legal or IP professionals

Experience with the Salesforce CRM

Secondary language proficiency in German, French, Serbian, Hindi, or Japanese

Expert knowledge of Tableau, SQL and PowerBI (or similar analytics tools)

What will you be doing in this role

Planning, prioritizing, and delivering products per specifications and defining short and long term product roadmaps

Responsible for the on-schedule delivery of new features, bug fixes, and enhancements for Clarivate ConnectedServices

Manages team backlog, enhancement requests, feature prioritization

Prepares (Backlog Refinement) new issues (User Stories and Bugs) together with the development team for the upcoming Sprints and approves them after development has finished

Liaiseswith customer support; clarifying and reproducing, prioritizing, updating status, escalations, and workarounds

Ensure new and existing features deliver a compelling experience for the end-customer and distinguishes Clarivate products from its competitors

Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure development is consistent with business requests

Works with Quality Assurance and Development Operations to establish Key Performance Metrices (KPIs), testing regime, system monitoring (dashboards), and alerting

Ensures achievement (released bugs, uptime, QoS, etc.) of established KPIs

Gathers and provides quantitative product-usage information to key stakeholders, esp. Product Management

Generate insights and storylines through translation of metrics and a deep understanding of our internal processes, partners and customers

Improves function within the business through communicating sprint results and customer reviews

Responsible for UI texts and Release Notes

About the Team On the IP Cloud Services team, you will be a part of a global team of product managers and work closely with cross-functional groups having technical conversations with engineers and presenting to senior leaders. The team is outcome oriented and looking for someone to make an immediate impact to the team.

Hours of Work Full time, regular business hours This is a hybrid position working 2-3 days a week in office at any of these locations: Kansas City KS, Alexandria VA, Philadelphia PA, Ann Arbor MI, or Barcelona, Spain.
