MAA is currently accepting applications for the position of Capital Fiscal Analyst (Administrative Officer III) within the Office of Capital Programs at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall Airport).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Supporting MAA’s six (6) year Capital Program exceeding $1Billion in State,

    Federal and other funding.

  • Maintaining financial models for all capital invoices received, tracking other financial funding, tracking and coding expenditures for all capital funding sources, and other contract management to include retainage tracking for all construction contracts, grant management support coding of all capital invoices to ensure cost recovery.

  • Managing receipts of capital invoices, invoice tracking, and coding.

  • Coding all invoices prior to payment by finance. Proper coding to ensure correct use of funds and cost recovery by airlines.

  • Maintaining comprehensive Excel trackers by contract number to track retainage and retainage release for construction project including the funding source for the retainage.

This position is located at BWI Marshall Airport in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Three years’ experience in administrative or professional work. *Two years of this experience must include invoice processing, financial and/or contract management.

Selective Qualifications are utilized when the position requires specific or additional bona fide occupational qualifications (i.e., knowledge, skills, or abilities).

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel software to include the use of complex formulas, pivot tables, and data validation to effectively manage financial data.

  • Possess great attention to detail.

  • A strong understanding of financial coding practices and invoice processing.

    Notes:

    1. Candidates may substitute education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 credit hours for each year of the required experience.

    2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a bachelor’s degree from a college or university for the required experience.

    3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

Licenses & Certifications

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties that require operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the state of Maryland.
