This exciting opportunity is inside our Sales team. This is a fast paced, fun and supportive environment where you achieve great results both individually and as a team. In this role you will help clients develop financial goals; analyze their current financial situation; recommend specific insurance and investment solutions and implement these solutions through a telephone-based distribution channel. You will serve as the primary point of contact for members who are assigned to the Financial Guidance Team and are responsible for converting serviced-based needs into financial guidance conversations. Financial Representatives will be responsible for outbound telephone calls on marketing campaigns.

Job Description

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze clients’ financial needs, goals, sensitivity to risk and investment horizon. Guidance requires significant amount of independent thought based on situations level of complexity.

  • Handle clients’ needs and issues in response to inbound telephone and email inquiries on insurance and investments. Cases range from simple to complex. Identify opportunities and pivot conversation from service to sales.

  • Provide clients with insurance and investment product recommendations that are suitable and consistent with their goals and objectives. Guide clients to take action on recommendations.

  • Initiate outbound telephone calls for purposes of relationship management, lead generation/follow up and sales of insurance and investment products.

  • Resolve client issues by providing information and explanations; responding to inquiries and requests.

  • Protect client and company interests by complying with federal and state regulations; keeping information confidential.

  • Accurately record all contact interaction into customer management software.

  • Act as a steward of the client assets and achieve client satisfaction and engagement through excellent service.

    Required Job Qualifications

  • College degree or the equivalent work experience.

  • Knowledge and broad perspective of Thrivent products and the financial services industry desired.

  • Ability to provide in depth financial analysis and planning.

  • Successfully complete SIE, FINRA Series 6 and 63 and Life and Health Insurance exams within 90 days of hire/transfer.

  • Must successfully be able to be Securities and Insurance licensed in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Other Critical Factors

  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence clients to take action on recommended solutions that will satisfy their financial needs.

  • Ability to work morning and/or evening shifts according to volume forecasts.

  • Excellent human relations skills in order to quickly build rapport, effectively communicate and influence clients to take action.
