Insight Global Construction Crew Chief in Arlington, Texas

Job Description

Day-to-day:

An outdoor advertising company in Arlington, Texas is looking for a Construction Crew Chief to join their team. This role requires overtime and travel within 150-mile radius. The Construction Crew Chief's primary responsibility is to oversee construction crew members and perform tasks involving physical labor, welding/cutting of metal and operation of vehicles/equipment as it pertains to construction projects associated with advertising structures.

Key responsibilities:

 · Lead crew and participates in constructing, installing, maintaining, upgrading, inspecting, evaluating, and removing of outdoor advertising structures.

 · Act as a liaison between the crew and Regional Operations Manager

 · Prioritize, plan, and organize all related equipment, deliveries, inspections, and personnel required for projects.

 · Maintain written / electronic records of projects.

 · Instruct employees in proper work methods / standards; monitor work quality and ensure adherence to time schedules.

 · Verifying that engineering standards are met and quality control maintained.

 · Ensure that job site, employees, and independent contractors, maintain safe work practices as required by local, state, federal, and company, policies, and guidelines.

 · Supervision and training of crew members including providing performance feedback and input into performance reviews.

Operates/drives trucks, cranes, vans, and other equipment associated with the job.

This position is a permanent opportunity with a pay rate ranging from $33/hour to $43/hour based on additional certifications. The certifications that warrant additional pay are:

 · Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B)

 · NCCCO Crane Operator Certification

 · Valid welding certification (unlimited thickness of material issued from an accredited testing facility utilizing Structural Welding Code D1.1)

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves:

 · High school diploma or equivalent

 · Valid Driver's License (clear driving record, free of DUI/reckless driving/etc.) -- travel required, weekend work while traveling (stipend/reimbursements provided)

 · experience as a crew chief or foreman role

 · Must be a Certified Welder

 · Working knowledge of crane and aerial lift operations Plusses:

 · Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B)- This qualifies them for increased pay

 · Certified Rigger

 · NCCCO Crane Operator Certification

 · OSHA 10/OSHA 30 Certification

 · Valid welding certification (unlimited thickness of material issued from an accredited testing facility utilizing Structural Welding Code D1.1) null
