Job Summary

To provide varied administrative support for the College of Education. Responsible for a variety of administrative duties in the college requiring moderate exercise of independent judgment, initiative, and ability to make decisions relative to office operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Submits travel requests, submits expense, and non-travel expense reimbursements, reconciles procurement card statements, requests purchase orders, processes invoices, arranges travel, submits travel requests, as well as maintains office supply inventory and purchases for college faculty and staff.

  • Organizes and assists with academic and research activities, including monitoring scholarship processes through Mav Scholarship, and completing monthly expenditure reports and budgets for various departments.

  • Provide support to College of Education faculty and staff, including, but not limited to, document processing and management, organizing meetings, reserving rooms, key requests, and general copying and scanning.

  • Types correspondence for publication, letters, forms, exams, course syllabi, and other college workflow. Assists in the preparation of hiring documents, employee files, and clearance paperwork for faculty, staff, and student workers.

  • Assist with coordinating and managing events, updating faculty office hours, and college publication boards.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with two (2) years of relevant experience or five (5) years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a full-time, professional position in a university or college

  • Experience with UT Share/PeopleSoft

  • Experience coordinating travel and processing reimbursements

  • Experience coordinating events

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Knowledge of the University’s academic policy and procedures

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in all phases of duties performed.

  • May be exposed to travel within the campus area, may have occasional travel overnight.

  • Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to this classification, may render the position security sensitive, and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215 Texas Education Code.
