Insight Global Top Secret Countermeasures Electrical Engineer in Arlington, Virginia

Job Description

-Responsible for the design, installation, operation, and lifecycle maintenance of advanced countermeasures systems primarily at overseas diplomatic facilities.

-Team builds and configures countermeasures to ensure proper functionality and operation.

-Ensures interoperability of highly technical equipment through the management of hardware and software configuration changes.

-Provide technical support for all phases of countermeasures systems which includes pre-installation, installation, and post installation.

-Coordinate all reporting which includes pre- and post-trip technical reports and summaries.

-Assist in the evaluation and development of new countermeasure systems and test equipment, documenting capabilities, identifying potential limitations, and making appropriate recommendations.

-Assist in the training of Department of State personnel on the techniques required to maintain, install and operate specific countermeasures.

-Conduct independent research on emerging technologies with minimal oversight or guidance and is capable of conducting laboratory or field testing.

-Assist in the drafting and review of technical security policies and operational guidelines involving countermeasures systems and facilitates their integration into the Department of State's facilities.

-Assist in gathering information on new technologies or capabilities, and any previous associated research/whitepapers found on those technologies and participates and project design and review meetings.

-Write detailed reports, assist with the generation of user manuals and other written documents as required.

-Coordinate travel and site support.

-Assist with equipment upgrades, repairs, and replacements.

-Drafts surveys for new installations of countermeasures at existing facilities.

-Give user training on multiple existing and upcoming systems.

-Ability to read, interpret and create electrical and electromechanical schematics.

Skills and Requirements

-Active Top Secret clearance

-2+ years of work experience in power/electrical engineering

-Ability to read, interpret and create electrical and electromechanical schematics, including electrical/mechanical building systems drawings.

-Must have a good understanding of single and triple phase power systems.

-Must be open to occasional CONUS and OCONUS travel, as needed -Understanding of MATLAB, Python, C++ or other programming languages

-Understanding of the Internet of Things (IOT), security systems and latest associated trends. null
