Job Description

We are currently seeking one Engineering/Science Student (Co-op position) for a full-time employment opportunity with our team in Ashcroft, British Columbia.

The Engineering/Science Co-op student would work from January 2025 – August 2025 and work with their assigned manager to meet strategic corporate initiatives and execute successful capital projects.

When you join us, you will:

  • Work on engineering (mechanical, civil, electrical) related projects from inception to closeout. The projects will help improve safety and efficiency for plant operations and maintenance activities

  • Assist the Engineering Team with project management, including tendering, negotiating, planning, installation, supervision of projects, commissioning & project closeout

  • Work with Plant Staff (Engineers, Supervisors, Tradespeople, etc.)

  • Shadowing personnel to create SOPs and SWIs

  • Assist in the preparation of drawings and modeling to be included in projects using AutoCAD and Inventor

  • Work on Health and Safety documents and procedures

  • Perform spare parts optimization tasks such as generating methods to efficiently access parts for project closeout

  • Performing other duties as assigned

Our ideal candidate will be:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate post-secondary engineering program

  • Committed to health and safety of employees, contractors, and visitors

  • Strong computer skills and familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Able to read and interpret drawings, proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, or SolidWorks is an asset

  • Critical thinking skills, and high degree of organization are a must

  • Troubleshooting capabilities are an asset

  • Able to work in a team or independently as required

Work Schedule

The hours of work will be primarily Monday through Friday {40 hours}.
