Job Description Summary
We are looking for an experienced Electrical I&C Technician to join the new Etgal O&M, located in the port of Ashdod.
In this position, you will work in shifts and be responsible for the Instrumentation & Control maintenance scope of the plant to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
Job Description
Ess en t ia l Re s pon s ibili t ie s
Execute I&C and Electrical related maintenance activities according to the workplan provided by the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Perform operations monitoring rounds in the field and support the maintenance of the equipment with routine checks and report any deficiencies when identified.
Execute and assist in routine testing of plant and equipment.
Maintain and update all operation routines, schedules, and reports with relevant plant operating data.
Support outage preparation and execution.
Recommend spare parts and supplies needed, and generate purchasing requisitions accordingly, as well as control plant inventory via the CMMS system.
Receive and check parts, tools and materials and record details (Identification number, Quantity, prices, etc.…) of items stored in the power plant's warehouse.
Apply LoTo and Permit to Work System related to activities in the plant, in accordance with GE policies and local legislation.
Follow strict Health, Safety and Environmental policies and quality procedures.
Assist cost reduction efforts by efficient use of consumables, parts, and tools.
Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
** Certified Electrical License - רישיון חשמלאי ראשי
Instrumentation & Control Technician from an accredited College/University or recognized technical qualification in the instrumentation and controls fields
Minimum 3 years’ experience as Instrumentation and Control Technician in an industrial environment, preferably in a combined cycle power plant
Knowledge of engineering practices, functions and processes involved in the operation and maintenance of a power plant
Good knowledge of typical I&C tools and equipment and MARK VIe experience
Fluent Hebrew and English (both verbal and written)
Willingness to work in 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays, as well as be on-call when needed
Good organization skills and teamwork
Problem solving skills and able to work autonomously
