JOB SUMMARY: This position receives customer complaints, prepares work orders, and dispatches personnel.

MAJOR DUTIES: Answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance. Communicates with filed personnel via two-way radio. Receives and transmits emergency information via radio and/or telephone. Dispatches crews and individuals in response to emergency and non-emergency calls. Maintains in contact with field personnel. Relays messages throughout the department. Provides information and assistance to the public, contractors, electricians, plumbers, and other city departments. Enters and maintains tickets for general utility maintenance. Coordinates with contractors and electricians for new builds and maintenance on homes. Performs related duties.
