MacStadium Network Security Engineer - Senior in Atlanta, Georgia
This is a hybrid role that requires to be onsite. You must be located close to one of our data centers in Las Vegas, NV or Atlanta, GA to be considered for the role.

What we need:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer that will play an integral role in the design of current and future infrastructure initiatives. Moreover, the person will be responsible for designing, deploying, and troubleshooting existing and future network solutions. You will be in charge of actively contributing and implementing current best practices as well as working to implement the best available solutions to help scale MacStadium’s network for the future.
This lead engineer must be able to embrace the entrepreneurial and fasted-paced culture to thrive, ultimately enabling our clients to achieve success. The ideal candidate should be able to develop efficient strategies and tactics to deploy solutions to assist with network growth and address needs before they arise and the ability to interact broadly across the organization.
The required shift for this position starts at 11AM Eastern Time.
This position is a hybrid position location in Atlanta, GA, working out of of our HQ offices in Buckhead and/or Data Center in White Street; reports directly to the Senior Manager, Engineering.
What you will be doing:
Partner with appropriate members of Engineering and Architecture groups to design and deploy solutions to service MacStadium customers with the best possible network
Establish solutions that help to differentiate MacStadium in the market place
Collaborate across the organization to influence network design direction and shape solution delivery to promote uptime and reliability
Take the lead on trouble shooting network wide issues as well as customer specific issues as appropriate
Stay abreast of industry trends and current and emerging technologies that could benefit MacStadium and our customers
Assist and lead network maintenance to further the growth and stability of the MacStadium network
Work with data center managers and other engineers to ensure the best possible experience for our customers
Assist Sales in responding to network design needs of current and potential clients
Help to mentor, develop, and grow next generation network engineering leadership
Participate in an on-call rotation with your fellow Engineers
Participate in on-site job duties related to the security role at our Las Vegas Data Center
What Skills and Experience you need to have:
6+ years recent hands on, practical experience with Cisco ASA's including building ASA's from scratch as well as troubleshooting
Experience configuring site to site VPN on ASA
Experience configuring remote access VPN solutions on ASA
Experience with next-generation Firewall solutions from Cisco
CCNP or 10+ years experience in network engineering
Experience developing scripts to improve deployments and day to day operations
8+ years of related professional experience troubleshooting large scale networks
Maintain a strong knowledge of virtual networks on Cisco ASA's
Hands on experience in the areas of data security standards, security methodologies and frameworks
Experience with managing IPAM infrastructure
Knowledge of Cloud network solutions including S2S VPNs and Transit Gateways
Knowledge of routing protocols like BGP configurations for ASA’s
Working knowledge of VXLAN and modern spine leaf architecture
Expert understanding of the interrelation of all layers of the OSI model
Knowledge in cloud security architectures as it relates to data protection
Demonstrated experience managing threat response and network security concerns
Experience working in a global organization supporting diverse businesses and geographies
Ability to successfully manage and execute multiple projects
Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills including crafting vision, strategy, roadmaps, and a demonstrated ability to produce crisp and easily understandable deliverables
Physical demands and requirements:
Occasional ladder usage is required
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
