Description We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team based in Atlanta, Georgia. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity in the telecom industry. As a Senior Accountant, you will be involved in a wide range of responsibilities from processing complex journal entries to assisting with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. You will be working in a dynamic environment that will allow you to gain knowledge of new software, industries, and opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare complex journal entries and carry out account reconciliation including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll.

• Conduct monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting.

• Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation.

• Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls under SOX and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP.

• Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules.

• Oversee fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation.

• Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision.

• Handle recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation.

• Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation.

• Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner.

• Participate in various department-wide initiatives.

• Carry out ad-hoc reporting and special projects as requested. Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation

• Skilled in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Experience in Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledge of General Ledger maintenance

• Able to perform Journal Entries

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

• Experience with NetSuite accounting software

• Knowledge in Oracle financial software

• Proficiency in SAP financial software

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to meet tight deadlines

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
