Salary Range: $36.75/hr - 66.53/hr

The grade and salary of the position are based on specific criteria met within the qualifications of each level, relevant experience, skills, performance and internal equity.

Description

Candidates with @ least 1 year of professional working experience in the following areas are highly preferred: SQL, Python, Cloud Environment, Rest API.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Extracts specifications and designs, develops and modifies simple to moderately complex database structures in a relational or object oriented environment.

  • Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the enterprise databases.

  • Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes.

  • Resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.

  • Designs, codes, benchmark tests, debugs and documents programs.

  • Is familiar with distributed computing environment, database-tuning methodologies, naming conventions, extraction, transformation and query methodologies.

  • Ensures the integrity and security of enterprise data and provides technical assistance to others as necessary.

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the IS department.

  • Uses considerable experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Competent to work on most phases of database development and works as a member of a larger programming team.

  • Provides technical assistance to others as necessary.

  • Provides production support in a 7 X 24 Tier 1 environment.

  • Must be able to engage others to achieve a very high level of database availability and integration.

  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management or related field and four years of database administration experience OR six years of database administration experience without a degree.

  • Must be proficient in at least one enterprise level and one departmental database currently in production.

  • Must be able to engage others to achieve a very high level of database availability and integration.

  • Must have good problem solving skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Python & SQL be able to write and read code. - At least 1 year of working experience using Python.

  • Cloud Experience (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) - At least 1 year of working experience

  • Rest API Skills - At least 1 year of working experience

  • Database Management

NICE TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understanding of Star Schema

  • Knowledge AWS Lamda and Athena
