Sensata Technologies, Inc. Manager, Travel Services in Attleboro, Massachusetts

The Manager, Travel Services will be responsible for managing the companies Global Travel Program. The Travel Service Manager helps maintain the global network of travel management companies by negotiating contracts, managing relationships and ensuring compliance with travel policies.

General Responsibilities

  • Develops, modifies and executes company travel policy and procedures

  • Manages accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of travel data

  • Primary contact for all travel vendors and suppliers

  • Manages negotiatiations and maintains contracts with travel vendors

  • Responsible for cost control and effectiveness

  • Advises on Travel Policy questions

  • Manages Corporate credit card program

  • Coordinates and works closely with internal teams

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation

  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

This individual will be responsible for managing Sensata’s global travel program. This includes management of a global network of travel management companies (TMCs), negotiating contracts and managing relationships with travel partners, such as airlines, hotels, and car rental companies, and ensuring compliance with Sensata’s Travel Policy. The Travel Manager will also oversee the corporate credit card program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management of all aspects of Sensata’s global travel program

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate travel program strategy aligned with Sensata’s goals.

  • Continuously evaluate and enhance travel policies to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • Manage network of global TMC’s, ensuring adherence to SLAs and compliance to Sensata’s procedures and policies

  • Execute sourcing initiatives and lead RFPs for Travel services as needed

  • With the assistance of Indirect Procurement negotiate with airlines, hotels, & other travel partners

  • Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure best in class service and competitive pricing

  • Work with travel security provider to advise on security issues, manage traveler tracking platform, and support travelers in emergency situations

  • Lead global corporate card program

  • Respond to all internal questions and support requests

  • Administer Corporate credit card program

  • Provide Travel training to new hires, bookers, and travelers

  • Ensure quick resolution of issues and maintain a high level of customer service

  • Provide reporting on spend, savings, and other metrics to internal stakeholders

  • Be familiar with industry trends and best practices, changes in regulations or requirements related to travel, such as visa or passport requirements

  • OBT Administrator - Managing the Concur Travel online booking tool together with the TMC to ensure traveler profiles are updated, travel policy settings are correct, functionality needs are reported, and the user experience is kept optimal.

  • Actively managing travel suppliers through periodic business reviews, contract management and performance evaluations

  • Maintaining close relationships with internal teams such as Accounts Payable, IT, Risk, International Mobility, Business Continuity, Audit, Security, Corporate Insurance, Admins & Travel Arrangers, HR, travelers and leadership to foster successful collaborations.
