Position Description

The Clinical Informaticist participates in organizational committees as an expert informatics resource, providing advice and perspective on the design and development of information systems to ensure the implementation of electronic records that support and enhance patient care and support of the organization's operating plan and strategic priorities. The Clinical Informaticist will have the opportunity to support the acute care hospital areas and collaborate with a wide variety of clinical staff, leaders, and providers. There is the opportunity to work daily with a great team of Clinical Informaticists as well as many clinical areas to support the design and utilization of the electronic health record and other information systems.

Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a Nursing or clinical area and 3 years or more of experience in EMR super user or application support. Clinical Certification in specialty area, and/or Informatics within two years of hire.

Preferred Requirements

Master's degree in clinical area or Informatics. 4 years or more of experience in EMR super user or application support. Previous Oncology acute care experience. Proficient MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Clinical Certification in specialty area, and/or Informatics upon hire. Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Laboratory Technician state approved license.
