Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Augusta, Georgia

Description We are offering an opportunity for a highly skilled Sr. Accountant to join our team in Augusta, Georgia. This role involves working with various functions of accounting, with a focus on non-profit and property accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation tasks

• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records

• Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the accounting process

• Use Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks and data analysis

• Participate in the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is recorded accurately

• Utilize Blackbaud software for various accounting tasks and functions

• Contribute to the team's overall understanding of accounting processes and systems. Requirements • Must have a strong background in accounting, preferably as a senior accountant

• Proficiency in reconciliation tasks, including account, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations

• Demonstrated experience with general ledger management and journal entries

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are essential

• Must have experience with month-end close processes

• Knowledge and experience with Blackbaud accounting software is a plus

• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills are required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred but not required

• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
