The Role: Seasonal 'Traveler' in Hospice - Per Diem
The Opportunity:
We are offering an exciting temporary opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the MaineGeneral Health system. The Per Diem Seasonal "Traveler" RN works at least 24 hours per week in Hospice with the opportunity to stay per diem with MaineGeneral when the assignment is completed. The schedule and travel location can change every 12 weeks. Positions come with very generous pay differentials comparable to traveler pay.
Position Highlights:
Flexibility to work as little as 24 hours (3 shifts) or as much as 40 hours (5 shifts) per week. Call schedule & holiday availability required, in rotation.

Provides direct care to Hospice patients in the home setting, using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
This is a temporary, per diem position open to external candidates only. MaineGeneral re-hires within 6 months are not eligible. Night shift availability is required.
Based on departmental need, the Seasonal 'Traveler' is able to stay in this enhanced role for up to 1 year. At that time, you will have the opportunity to stay per diem with MaineGeneral in a permanent staff RN capacity.
You Have:
Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain same in a timely fashion, required
At least 2 years of recent Hospice experience in the home setting, required
Valid Maine state driver's license with acceptable driving record according to MGH Policy, required
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Strong technology/computer skills and previous experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
