CACI is hiring a Cybersecurity Systems Security Engineer (Subject Matter Expert) to be based onsite in Aurora, CO. Selected candidate for hire MUST have their TS/SCI prior to hire.

What You’ll Get to Do:

Facilitate ongoing engagement with site, agency stakeholders to attain and maintain joint, multi-agency collaboration and synchronized activities. Manage USAF developmental and operational capabilities that require high degree of integration with agency data or tools, to include facilitating use of agency resources (labs and IC cloud) for continuous integration/continuous deployment or traditional acquisition processes. Serve as liaison with Air Force customer.

Provide technical expertise to ACC, USAF and site (AF-NTI) on technical integration objectives (AF, NRO and USSF programs), timelines and associated resources. Provides ACC, USAF, NRO and USSF expert advice on end-to-end data flow architectures and associated enterprise solutions, to include sanitization policy, multi-level security policy and technical implementation.

This effort is to assist and support operations and maintenance (O&M), research and development (R&D), and procurement of data and information processing capabilities. The focus will be to improve battlespace awareness and data for decision making at all echelons across Combat Air Force (AF) Command and Control (C2) and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) enterprise, Intelligence Community (IC), Joint, and Coalition air, space, cyberspace, and intelligence components, systems, and architectures.

The primary purpose is to conduct Intelligence Data Handling Systems (IDHS) and AF C2 & ISR related research, studies, analysis, enhance operations, increase mission effectiveness, improve information security, conduct experimentation, and implement new and emerging information access, processing, analysis and dissemination technologies in response to critical AF and IC multi-domain needs across Air, Space, and Cyber.

More About the Role:

  • Support the RMF Cybersecurity Specialist maintaining day-to-day security analysis of AF IC RMF projects to ensure timely updates and notifications.

  • Maintain thorough understanding of NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171 controls.

  • Provide support and recommendations to System Program Managers and Security Authorities to maintain appropriate Information Assurance (IA) postures for programs and systems.

  • Draft and/or prepare and maintain security Assessment and Authorization Body of Evidence documentation ( e.g., System Boundary and Data Flow Diagrams, SIA, SSP, RAR, SCTM, ISA, POAM, CMP) .

  • Prepare comprehensive written reports and presentations based on research, collection, and analysis of information assurance data.

  • Perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy and provide information assurance risk management recommendations to the customer.

  • Perform oversight of the development, implementation and evaluation of information system security program policy; special emphasis placed upon integration with existing/new SAP network infrastructures.

  • Represent the System Program Manager in various cybersecurity systems engineering and architecture related working groups, advisory groups, and advisory council meetings.

  • Apply extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.

  • Apply subject matter expertise of tactical data links and their use and employment.

  • Develop technical solutions which require the use of ingenuity and creativity in supporting the tactical warfighter and ensuring rapid dissemination of mission critical data.

  • Coordinate with National Mission Partner planning and integration efforts with all stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with NCDSMO on CDS RTB guidance.

  • Participate and support in planning and execution of ABMS/JADC2 execution efforts.

  • Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in computer science or related engineering discipline and 8 years of experience.

  • Considered subject matter expert in required position expertise. System engineering innovative technical solutions for supporting warfighters.

  • SME on Tactical Data Links, a Data Link Operator (DLO), a Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO), Air Domain Awareness (e.g., Thresher), Cybersecurity/Information Assurance Expertise in processing Risk Management Framework packages; qualification must be at least Security +.

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Advanced degree (Master’s/PHD) in computer science or related engineering discipline, and CISSP, CISM or GSLC; level III IAM or IASAE I-III, DoDD 8140.01; DoDD 8570.01.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$90,300 - 189,600 USD
