Google Cloud Platforms and Infrastructure Engineer, Google Cloud in Austin, Texas

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 6 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP)

  • 6 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).

  • 5 years of experience automating infrastructure provisioning, Networking, DevOps or continuous integration/delivery.

  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), techniques such as prompt engineering, dual encoders, embedding vectors, and their implementation within GenAI systems.

  • Experience managing and working with external partners/customers.

  • Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

  • Familiarity with standard IT security practices such as identity and access management, data protection, encryption, certificate, and key management.

As a Cloud Partner and Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide exceptional technical guidance to customers adopting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. This includes providing best practices on secure foundational cloud implementations, automated provisioning of infrastructure and applications, cloud-ready application architectures, and more. You will also provide prescriptive guidance in ensuring that customers receive the best of what Google Cloud Platform (GCP) can offer and have the best experience in migrating, building, modernizing, and maintaining applications in Google Cloud Platform. Additionally, you will work closely with Product Management and Product Engineering to drive excellence in Google Cloud products and features.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Provide domain expertise in cloud platforms and infrastructure; solving complex cloud platform challenges.

  • Work with customers to design and implement Cloud based technical architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations that enable business objectives.

  • Be a technical advisor and perform troubleshooting to resolve technical challenges for customers.

  • Create and deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, and sample code.

  • Travel 30% of the time as required.
