This is your chance to join our high-impact Global Sales Operations team as the Sales Operations Lead for Startups in North America.

Key job responsibilities

We're seeking a highly analytical Sales Operations Lead who will play a vital role in driving predictability and execution against strategic priorities. This includes leading efforts in reporting and analysis of business trends for a specific area/vertical within North America Startups. Leveraging your strong business acumen, technical skills and deep analytic background, you'll empower Sales teams by creating efficiencies, assessing performance, and delivering insightful reporting that fuels results.

You'll be responsible for ensuring a smooth flow of business activities by leading Weekly, Monthly & Quarterly Business Reviews, managing key mechanisms like forecasting and pipeline management, and overseeing other key reporting requirements. Collaborating closely with the Sales team, you'll support them in evaluating attainment against quotas. You'll leverage CRM tools to conduct insightful analyses and fulfill ad-hoc requests, ultimately enabling data-driven sales success.

This role requires a proven work ethic and a willingness to take ownership. You'll collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and data teams to tackle challenges, implement new reporting solutions, and deliver high-quality results. You'll need to effectively communicate across technical and non-technical audiences, fostering collaboration with various teams like Sales, Internal Operations, Solution Architecture, Business Development and Partner.

Our North America Startups Sales Operations team acts as a trusted advisor, providing "Chief Operating Officer (COO)"-level support and thought leadership to sales leaders. This translates to high-quality decision-making built on a foundation of data-driven insights. We go beyond the immediate, offering an "outside-in" perspective on the long-term health of the business. We identify and own critical, long-term operational initiatives – the "big rocks" that may not yield immediate results but are essential for long-term viability. Ultimately, we empower ambitious startups to change the world and turn bold ideas into reality.

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 6+ years of finance, business management and sales operations experience

  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent

  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology company

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

  • Experience with data visualization software (e.g., AWS QuickSight or Tableau) or open-source project

  • Ability to prioritize well and communicate clearly across multiple levels of the organization.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $169,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
