Contribute to the systems designs, software implementations, and collection methods for specialized geodetic survey applications, employing expertise in physics, gravity, optics, astronomy, GNSS systems, terrestrial survey instrumentation, and estimation theory.Implement software algorithms in C++ and Python in a collaborative environment. Work closely with team members to define interfaces between program components. Document implementations thoroughly and clearly. Define, implement, and execute test cases for program functions.Participate in project reviews and technical interface meetings to present designs and test results to sponsors and other external organizations. Publish work in scientific journals and present work at conferences.Provide guidance and assistance to junior full time employees and student employees.Document progress and completion of work.Provide technical assistance to users. Document and address bug reports.Further develop knowledge of astronomy, geodesy, geodetic survey principles, estimation theory, C++ and Python, and software development principles.Other related functions as assigned.
