Hyatt Marketing Manager in AUSTIN, Texas

Hyatt Hotels and Resorts is proud to announce the openings of two lifestyle boutique hotels that will join the Hyatt Hotels and Resorts family in downtown Austin – Thompson Austin and tommie Austin which will make their debut downtown in the music and entertainment district this summer.

The Role

This person will be responsible for implementing brand, marketing and advertising campaigns and coordinating public relations efforts, partnerships, events and activations. They will report directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordinate all marketing efforts around advertising, online media, events, collaborations and occasions that perpetuate the hotel story in the community and in the press.

  • Proficiency in design applications is required to create and maintain in-room collateral, photography, press kits, e-marketing initiatives, invitations, event material and working with brand designers when necessary.

  • Coordinate and disseminate social media content with agency of record to ensure a consistent brand message is delivered whilst maintaining hotels unique identity

  • Observe local social scene and make recommendations to DOSM on trends; including staying up to date on competitor activity

  • Maintain complete knowledge and documentation at all times of:

  • All hotel and restaurant features/services, hours of operation.

  • Hotel history, programs and promos.

  • All room types, numbers, layout, décor, appointments and location.

  • All room rates, special packages and promotions.

  • Room availability status for any given day.

  • Scheduled daily group and food and beverage activities.

Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment

  • Candidates should be extremely detail oriented and organized

  • Refined verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient knowledge of computer applications, specifically design applications

  • Previous Marketing or Hotel experience required

Where art and atmosphere seep in from the surrounding neighborhood, and collaborations seep back out. tommie will feature a bespoke coffee and wine shop and allow guests to be the master of their own stay while still offering warm and authentic service.​

Both hotels are anchored on the ground floor by The Diner Bar The Grey Market, a street side concept serving daily fare for locals, residents and guests alike and helmed by award winning Chef Mashama Bailey. This mixed use project will also feature a residential tower – Siena – and 10,000 square feet of retail space.​
