General Summary:

As a Lead Verification Engineer, you will be responsible for understanding the expected functionality of multimedia designs, specifically video encoder/decoder and Multimedia subsystems. Scoping and executing design verification activities for Video codec HW IP and Multimedia Subsystem. You will work with the architects, designers and SW, FW engineers to plan and execute verification and validation. Deliver the IP for integration into SoCs for mobile applications.

As a technical lead you will be responsible for building team. Good communication skill is critical for this role to be successful in working with other global teams in different locations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree/PhD degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field

  • Experience in Multi-media IP and sub-system verification involving SW/FW/HW.

  • Experience in building and leading the design verification team

  • 15+ years’ experience in developing and architecting verification testbench environment, Developing models.

  • 10+ years of experience with ASIC DV experience in verifying complex design at various levels Block, Core, Sub-system levels.

  • 5+ years of experience with HVLs: System Verilog, OO programming, Developing C/C++ models and integrating to testbench.

  • 5+ years of experience with Verilog, C/C++, Tcl/Perl/python/shell-scripting, SV, OVM/UVM methodology

  • 5+ Experience in Power-aware for low power design verification, Formal verification, Performance and KPI analysis

  • 5+ years of experience in leading/managing the design verification team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field

  • Test planning, problem solving, debug, Verification of Multi-media hardware

  • Strong working experience in coverage driven constraint random verification.

  • Experience in formal verification

  • Experience in building simulation acceleration and Emulation is plus

  • Experience

  • Prior experience in multi-media HW accelerator verification Video Codec IP & Video codec knowledge H.264/MPEG/HEVC/VPx/AV1/VVC

  • Experience to HLS and System C model development is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

Pay range:

$139,000.00 - $208,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
