If you're looking for work in the IT Software field, Robert Half is looking for a Desktop Support Technician with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an understandable and concise format. Problem solvers who prefer to work in a challenging and positive environment may succeed this Desktop Support Technician role. This Desktop Support Analyst role is a short-term contract opportunity based in the Avon, Ohio, area.

Responsibilities

• Resolve computer problems, and give guidance on appropriate action/solutions

• Provide computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures

• Meet regularly and effectively with ticket submitters

• Develop records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities

• Arrange hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors

• Retain, investigate, and restore computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals

• Offer support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems

  Requirements - Knowledgeable when it comes to writing reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals

• 2+ years of desktop support or other related experience

• Troubleshoot experience

• Proven knowledge of Printer Hardware

• Well-founded grasp of Printer Problems

• Foundational knowledge in Basic Troubleshooting

• Microsoft Office 365 experience required

• General familiarity with VPNs (virtual private networks)

• Deep understanding of Hardware Troubleshooting
