Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and document modular, containerized, cloud-based software systems that meet intended user needs, architectural plans, and system requirements and are scalable, extensible, and highly secure.

• Use software best practices throughout the development process, including the use of design patterns, static code analysis, unit testing, and automated deployment.

• Leverage healthcare standards to integrate seamlessly into clinical systems and workflows, robustly addressing data privacy, security, authentication, auditing, and other essential functions.

• Partner with software team to ensure solutions meet software as a medical device (SaMD) regulatory and quality control requirements as needed.

• Help building the proof-of-concept and demonstration of the working software as per the requirements.

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

• Bachelor of Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in software engineering roles and expertise in .NET, C#.

• Interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, SMART on FHIR. Build the knowledge around integration engines like Mirth.

• Excellent technical, troubleshooting & mentoring skills.

• Ability to derive solid detailed design by understanding the system architecture and requirements.

• Significant experience working with agile software development methods, such as scrum and Kanban and exposure to working within CI/CD pipelines.

Desired Skills:

• Experience developing healthcare SaaS solutions, integrating with APIs, and working with popular cloud technologies such as MS Azure

• Experience developing regulated medical device software that strictly adheres to design controls and quality management system requirements.

• Self-motivated to complete tasks timely with competence; driven to self-educate and improve processes.

• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills with ability to build trust.

• Results oriented with focused urgency, prioritization skills and ability to recognize/escalate issues appropriately.

• Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.

• Web development experience using React, Angular or Vue.js (TypeScript/JavaScript)

• It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience with DICOM standards and Medical Imaging will be a plus.

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for the development of medical device software.

• REST APIs.
