We are seeking a skilled back-end developer to join our IBM development team. As part of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software products, working with a variety of technologies and programming languages.

Your Role and Responsibilities

We are currently hiring a highly skilled and motivated Generative AI Engineer to join our talented engineering team. As a Generative AI Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing products using cutting-edge generative AI and RAG to solve complex problems and drive innovation across our organization. You will work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions that enhance our products and services in IBM Z

Main Responsibilities of a Generative AI Engineer

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and implementing generative AI models and algorithms utilizing state-of-the-art techniques

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define AI project requirements and objectives, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

• Conducting research to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in generative AI, machine learning, and deep learning techniques and identify opportunities to integrate them into our products and services.

• Optimizing existing generative AI models and RAG for improved performance, scalability, and efficiency.

• Developing and maintaining pipelines and RAG solutions including data preprocessing, prompt engineering, benchmarking and fine-tuning

• Developing clear and concise documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and presentations, to communicate complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Contributing to the establishment of best practices and standards for generative AI development within the organization.

• Providing technical mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Key Requirements of a Generative AI Engineer

• 5+ years experience in Software design, development, testing, deployment on on prem and cloud and proven hands on experience in Generative AI

• You have a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence,

• You are proficient in Python and have experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks

• You have strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.

• You are familiar with cloud-based platforms and services

• You have experience with natural language processing (NLP) techniques and tools, such as SpaCy, NLTK, or Hugging Face.

• You have knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.

• You possess excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively to develop innovative AI solutions.

• You have strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.

• You possess a proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Familiarity with z/OS and mainframe technologies.

• Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) methodologies, such as Tekton or ArgoCD.

• Knowledge of COBOL,Assembler programming, Job Control Language (JCL) Restructured Extended Executor language (REXX), IBM IMS (Information Management System), PL/I programming language is plus

• Skilled at defining test strategies that can include AI and non AI solutions
