Fortive Corporation Oracle Configurator Developer in Bangalore, India

Overview:

The Oracle Configurator Developer will be an intermediary between the business community and the technical community working with IT project teams and business counterparts to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and design configurator models.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform Configuration Management using Oracle configurator which includes building the configurator models, rules, user interfaces and publication to various applications.

  • Lead the configuration/setup, testing, training, implementation, and support of Oracle Configurator module.

  • Partnering with business and technology partners globally but with a focus on the APAC/EMEA region to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into technical requirements.

  • Collaborate with functional areas of the business and IT to identify, evaluate, and implement new configurator models and business processes to drive business performance improvements.

  • Prepared training material for lead process owners, for future maintenance and support of configured models.

  • Partners with business and technology partners to prioritize IT Projects and enhancements.

  • Participate in project meetings, design reviews, training, exercises, and other events as required in support of projects throughout the entire project management lifecycle.

  • Provide hands on technical and functional end user support.

  • Coordinates project resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications Required (Non-Negotiable):

  • Bachelor's/Associate degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field.

  • Experience in analyzing and supporting Manufacturing and Product Performance functions.

  • Experience implementing solutions within the Oracle Configurator module. This includes experience in configuration modeling and rule creation.

  • Java Extensions experience ideal.

  • Experience implementing solutions within Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)-R12 Manufacturing (Oracle Inventory, Oracle WIP, Oracle BOM, Oracle Pricing).

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated experience in writing software requirements and test specifications.

  • Knowledge of SQL programing language and database tools.

  • Able to understand business functionality and translate it into application requirements.

  • Capable of leading process improvement initiatives.

  • Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies.

  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas.

  • Demonstrated experience in working with global teams and supporting global business functions.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in Oracle EBS instance.

  • Understanding of the various software development lifecycles (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
