What you bring to Nike
Bachelor’s degree in consumer insights, business analytics, strategy, consulting or related field, or a combination of relevant education, experience, and training
8+ years of experience in consumer research, analytics, brand management, product or design
Demonstrated experience uncovering actionable consumer insights with the ability to shift from the details to the big picture seamlessly
Ability to lead a portfolio of large, multi-disciplinary research projects with multiple business partners in a dynamic and evolving organization
Proven ability to synthesize complex findings and independently produce and deliver compelling presentations
Previous experience with primary research methodologies and market measurement tools (trackers, panels, POS, etc)
Familiarity with current sport, fitness and retail landscape (digital and physical), including key footwear and apparel competitors, emerging trends, and current events
Expert collaborator with experience working across multiple functions and levels of leadership concurrently
High attention to detail; excellent written & verbal communication
End-to-end project management skills with ability to lead working teams made up of internal and external partners
Proven track record of leading teams
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a consumer-obsessed change agent who has experience championing consumer insights and research within organizations. This person will lead a team focused on Market Measurement tools and processes, responsible for detecting and decoding marketplace trends and shifts. They need to be adept at translating quantitative data from a variety of primary and syndicated sources into actionable insights and find opportunities for enterprise growth. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced, highly complex organization and excel at collaboration and integration across functions at the Global and Geo levels.
What you will work on
The ideal candidate will help drive the market insights strategy, and prioritize work aligned with key priorities. You will manage a suite of high impact market insights programs including Consumer Panel, Point of Sale Market Tracking, Brand Health Tracking, and other global research projects. You will lead refinement of data sources including but not limited to: identifying appropriate evolution to evergreen programs, building new capabilities to complete the portfolio, data quality control and data issue identification/resolution. You will also manage external agencies and services to further build a comprehensive view of the market; focused on category, consumer, brand, and competition. And, with your strong analytical and communication skills, you will synthesize learnings and deliver key insights to catalyze action across Nike.
Who you will work with
As a Market Insights lead, you will be an integral part of the Consumer & Market Research team at Nike’s WHQ Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. You will report directly to the leader of Marketplace Trends. You will partner with multiple groups across Consumer Insights including Men’s/Women’s/Kids Insights, Nike Direct Analytics, Marketing Science, Data Science, and CI team in the geographies (NA, EMEA, APLA). Other key business connections include Marketing, Strategy, Investor Relations as well as General Management.
