Amazon Data Center Technical Support Security Manager in Beijing, China

Description

Amazon Web Services is looking to hire a highly motivated, customer-obsessed professional to provide hands-on support to our operating partner’s Data Center Infrastructure Operations team across BJS Cluster as Data Center Technical Support Security Manager.

As a DSM, you will be tasked with providing essential support to the day-to-day data center security operations, supporting and executing security projects and programs, as well as assuring audit compliance with Amazon Web Services policies and procedures.

Responsibility:

  • Provide specialties and support to the direction and management of contract guard force in the daily data center operations.

  • Support the management of site security incidents, escalations or any other security related issues.

  • Provide after-hours on-call management support and participate in emergent, large scale event response when needed.

  • Participate in re-occurring data center security audits and reviews.

  • Support and ensure the observance of the established compliance processes with Amazon Web Services policies, standards, guidelines and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Provides input on, and may develop security methodologies, policies and procedures.

  • Write reports and communicate with management on the status of physical security technical support operations.

  • Oversee new security construction or retrofit projects.

  • Manage the security P&L for assigned site(s), assist management with financial analysis and contribute to financial decisions for security requirements.

  • Collaborate with other teams and operating partner to protect Amazon Web Services Data Centre personnel, information and assets.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in security or related fields; i.e., logistics, transportation, facilities amongst others

  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Share Point to make narrative reports or presentations in a timely manner.

  • Proficient English verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of security software systems such as Lenel.

  • PSP, CPP, PMP Certification.

  • Experience in project management. Ability to interpret project objectives, develop project schedules and manage adherence to established timetables.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment where numerous systems/applications/software are highly dependent

  • Strong data-driven decision making and analytical skills

  • Experience in working overseas partners with an understanding of diversity
