Job Description:
We are currently looking for a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to provide support for our government customer located in Belgium .
HOW A SR. DBA WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Installing and configuring Microsoft SQL Server 2016 instances.
Managing Microsoft SQL Server 2016, high availability, backups and restore.
Database performance tuning, optimization, indexing, and implementation of industry and DoD best practices.
Database design, capacity planning, scalability, upgrades, and migrations.
Creating and managing Enterprise Data Warehouses, data marts, and Operational Data Stores.
Applying DoD data and security standards and developing comprehensive data dictionaries.
SQL Server scripting.
Designing, building and maintaining data infrastructures and no-SQL databases such as MongoDB
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experience: BS degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Experience: 10+ years of experience in database administration of enterprise RDBMS such as Oracle or SQL Server
Certification: Security+ CE
Security Clearance Required: Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance required
Experience: Have extensive experience installing and configuring Microsoft SQL Server 2016 instances.
Skills: Have extensive experience managing Microsoft SQL Server 2016, high availability, backups and restore. Have experience with database performance tuning, optimization, indexing, and implementation of industry and DoD best practices. Have experience with database design, capacity planning, scalability, upgrades, and migrations. Have experience creating and managing Enterprise Data Warehouses, data marts, and Operational Data Stores. Have experience with applying DoD data and security standards and developing comprehensive data dictionaries. Have experience in SQL Server scripting. Have experience designing, building and maintaining data infrastructures and no-SQL databases such as MongoDB
Ability to obtain SOFA Status in Belgium

The likely salary range for this position is $116,979 - $151,389. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
